SPEEEEDPaaint! :la:

The first realistic Mega Salamence!

I also expected and wanted it to be better.
SO I DID IT. IT IS BETTER.

Inspirations: Boa reduced legs(here as arms)BUUT check out Alvarezsaurus: a dinosaur with STRONG arms, but they're small and has only ONE claw! Hilarious, evolution, this is hilarious!, flying snake(the tail as rudder). flying dragon lizards/Draco volans(wings)
and look: more snaky apperance, more Rayquaza-shaped head outgrowths...

Mega Salamence:

I AM A SON OF RAYQUAZA your argument is invalid! And I roar like a plane!

I am bloody crescent moon,
I am fire, I am....DEATH :lmao:

----The Future Sight series(read as: artist ideas overload that are in timeline after both planned comic stories):
Professor Tipsy and Weirda Mirrart discovering new Mega evolutions

Weirda Mirrart journal entry: Discovery of new Mega evolution in Hoenn region!
Mega Salamence observation

Now I feel sorry to myself I traded Salamence when I was had one....but I was had to.
Today evening was really special to me. Maybe because of intense feelings since yesterday.
I'll write separate journal for that matter, my arms are still sore from last days of hard work to help professor Tipsy.

Luckily, he was able to go out Pokemon Center just after few hours. I'm glad he's not so worried about Gustav, even if we don't have good news.
He accepted the situation and we can go on with our research. Andre already know my problem with climbing on the mountains or staying at hights,
but he wants to study some unique and really rare Pokemon species with me. Especially that I adore dragons and I have eagle eye to the details.

The sky was really breathtaking today. Almost no dense clouds on it, only vivid bands of cirrostratus that looked like an ocean of warmth to me.
I was a bit complaining about the cold air that was getting to my lungs, but professor told me that the colder air contains
more oxygen and clear sky around mountains would assure a safety climbing or flight. He also encouraged me with the memory of our the first flight
on his Kongamato, male Aerodactyl.
I wasn't worred about feeling bad at hights, but about being a trouble for him.
But after our last talks...I think he doesn't mind I am not perfect, but I am in drawings and observations we're doing together.

We wanted to look for Altaria, since they're roaming through the sky mostly at the mornings and evenings, when the air is a bit different
and more favourable to them.

We saw a group of them, but Kongamato felt there's a strong breeze of hurricane coming, so we decided to land on ledge, but obviously
not outside mountains, but inside, in a kind of gigantic rocky pit if I would try to describe it.

Now, while writing this I can say just since we landed this event was special: we usually talk together about Pokemon at almost every ocassion,
but there we were both silent for a long time...because we wouldn't hear well each other! The noise and hum from breezes going through
the mountains was making us a little deaf. We were just staring at the landscape, because dense clouds that were below us sometimes
tricked our sight that there are Altaria.

Gazing intensitely for over an hour, I think he also started to feel like sleeping with the opened eyes, having brain in "off" mode.

And then...something slowly arised from the clouds...it was...yes, it was literally arising slowly, like a helicopter,
but without an airscrew!
I took off my eyes from it immediately, since I thought it's a mirage or something and looked at Andre- now I giggle thinking about this,
but I think we both looked funny with our faces in astonishment, expressions and gestures trying to say wordlessly "you also see this?",
"but its impossible!", "yes, it is, but it also it is not!" and even after the little excitement and shock, we still were mute,
because trying to say something to one another would make us noticed by this...living plane.

We both recognized it was Salamence, but it also WASN'T ! Salamence is unable to stay in the air like Talonflame can, because its wings
and weight are just adapted for swooping down. This Salamence...was just arising up slowly and motionlessly, only modifying its shape of wings,  like birds do while gliding or flying. I even thought at first it's just a machine constructed to startle birds,
especially Altaria, like paints of Staraptor or Talonflame does on some glass that surrounds highway (for example in Sinnoh).

But looking closely, observing it for a longer time...I realized it WAS REAL POKEMON!
It was just 100 metres from us, but turned aside and totally focused on one point. Professor pushed my back gently to tell me to come closer,
since we both hided in recess at first. Kongamato was supporting us from the back, also if there would be a rockslide.
His grey colouration and pose was camouflaging it.

What we observed then... even if at first sight or someone who doesn't pay attention to Mega Salamence anatomy,
it HAS ARMS. They're hightly reduced, with probably only single claw on each paw. Mega Salamence hides them in oustanding, modified
armour. It gives it better properties in flight. The head looks also lighter and more sleek if we doesn't count bigger "spikes".
I think They're lighter outgrowths than standart Salamence has, even if they're bigger. might their shape works like the shape of Honedge's blade thanks to fuller. It's just my thinking, professor Tipsy told me that untill we will see Mega Salamence closely we shouldn't try to compare and analyze such details of anatomy yet.

The most noticeable thing, not only because of size and red color, but because of the change are wings.

A salamence has pterosaur-like wings that are most of the time not fully folded and that's why they reminds of axe in shape.
This Pokemon even use them for swimming and that's why people commonly stick a thought to it they're shaped like an axe.

Mega Salamence wings are formed thruthfully with two pair of wings that are fused. The first pair and its truly wings are modified and pointed more to front,
but unfortunately I cannot say more since me and professor Tipsy were focused on new feathure of Mega Salamence:
extended ribs that forms a second and main pair of wings that ends in the middle lenght of its tail!

The area of wings expand is HUGE! Furthermore, since there are not many muscles supprting them, we both wondered and speculated
for a while how it can greatly and perfectly controll the flight then!

Conclusion: it used its tail as a rubber and to modify the position of wings, the first pair of wings that are stronger are used
for attacking and forming flying attacks like for example wing attack. Also, the first pair of wings are also modifying the shape of rib-based
pair of wings. They're connected and working very well!
Might it sounds weird and awkward, but seems the mother of nature and evolution phenomenom knows better solutions than we can even
think about. Since we don't have a Salamence and none of our friends too, we cannot say more about the anatomy at this moment.

What has happened next was even more unbelievable:

In one second, Mega Salamence just thwacked its huge wings and the dense cloud from below it has appeared before quickly soared
-at first like a dust, but then it has...please forgive me, but I will write: mythically, magically surrounded it with great grace.

Not like clouds surround Altaria wings, not that its was fully covered by them, but it simly controlled them and his red wings
vanished in them. After some times, when Andre even helped me to seat on Kongamato and we were about to leave we noticed a group of Altaria coming: they don't cirlce around even highest mountains, but they fly through them since it saves much time and is way safety path....from Salamence species. A Salamence can fly enought hight, but only for a while when it's pursuiting its prey, but then it has to fly down since the air is sparsed and it cannot maintain on this level of flight, because of its shape of wings.

Me, professor Tipsy and Kongamato again stepped back to hide, the air again was full of strong breezes and noise- a noise that at some moments
even sounded like a noise from the plane! Some Altarias that weren't able to resist the breeze became Mega Salamence meal.
Even the hunting was done, Mega Salamence still stayed in its form, positioning itself more upright, probably because there was an uprising
breeze.

Kongamato felt its good moment to leave, but I just- I just was had to say loudly to both Kongamato and his owner:

"Not yet, please!"
It was just too fantastic moment to let it pass!
An uprising breeze can happen again, but not this moment!
An evening, bright sky where the sun is covered by rocks and Mega Salamence slowly uprising when we were able to see its anatomy
and majesty.
...
I was HAD to thank professor Tipsy he understood me and thought the same about this moment, especially that it was just a moment,
about a minute before it has changed back to Salamence and swooped down to the south-west of Hoenn.

I tried to draw this mesmerazing view, but I can say that even my skills are unable to show how breathtaking and touching it was
before we leaved to find a place to eat the dinner and end the day.

Seriously, I haven't done my OC Salamence reference sheet, BUT THIS OC WILL BE BASED ON SMAUG.
Because it's a reason why I love Salamence. It's just typical european dragon with armour on chest
that you have to beat or it will be a disaster. The smaug from latest Hobbit movie has even "spikes" on its head
that reminds me of Salamence...!

Haterz gonna hate, Salamence is definitely one of my favs.
