:new: SMALL (UNECESSARY) UPDATE, 'CAUSE I DID SOME COLORING AT MORNING COFFEE TODAY.

HOLY MOLY I JUST NOTICED I PLACED EYE GEMSTONES WRONGLY ON DOUBLADE AAAAA IT FEELS HORRIBLE FOR A PERFECTIONIST LIKE MEEEE

IT CAN LEARN SURF, DEAL WITH IT! :icondragonspif:

NOTE: THIS IS MY OC ARMEND, A DHELMISE WHICH IS ALMOST TWICE TIME SMALLER THAN COMMON OF HIS KIND.

Not only bigger than said in Pokedex Pokemon are cool. Not all anchors were made for gigantic ships.

I sometimes can't get enough of Dhelmise, it's one of my top fav Pokemon for sure....! :iconlawooplz:

Maybe this way of transport is very slow, but for Weirda Mirrart that's just wonderful to admire the view under the feet.
Plus, Armend is an anchor that symbolises security, stability and the hope- and that's just wonderful~ :meow:

One of my Dhelmise headcanon/ fan theory:

Dhelmise are not that rare in Alola if we consider their "population" and the fact the algae which "creates" them
reproduces asexually by fragmentation. They're just not encountered by trainers who don't travell off the coast.
Not to mention, places where Dhelmise are common are protected by goverment and only people and Pokemon with permission
are allowed to enter for scientific research over ship wrecks and ships that sunk.

Dhelmise are caught there to prevent overpopulation on small area they inhabit or destroying coral reefs or ship
wrecks to be trained by people working a lot on the sea.

Those Pokemon are strong enough to carry heavy items, so they're a living crane. They can carry a small boat,
help stabilize a ship in a storm and fight with aggressive Sharpedos. Not to mention, the most important thing is,
they can rescue anyone who felt off the boat. Their big anchor can carry even 10 men for hours before a help will appear.
Additionally, their eye is a compass, so if it's relaxed, it will always show the north-south direction which is life saving too.

However, an aggressive wild Dhelmise is highly dangerous to ships and marine life- few swings of its anchor
can create a hole in a ship and make it sink. That's why goverment started to fund research over this species
and hunt on them, luckily it turned into a project of protecting their natural habitats and control population,
while catching and training those who seem meet the conditions to work loyaly for people and understand commands well.

Rarely, some Dhelmise grow enough certain seaweed to be able "carry on" a soul of a human that died in the sea.
Those are the ones seeked the most, but the ones that freshly grew this kind of seaweed tend to not even be self-conscious
and are highly dangerous being unpredictable and attack with no mercy.

NOTE: Weirda Mirrart has a wound on her right arm after Vespiquen's slash attack and recently in Alola took a scald
on her legs- she tried to jump in the last moment, but it wasn't enough. She just been at wrong place in wrong time,
that's all. I don't want to give too much spoilers of her adventures outside battles ;)

Weirda's friend, Linear, got a Ribombee that helps cure those horrible burns on legs, because it's just impossible
to hide them, unlike with her wound on the arm...

It might sound strange she feared ghost types in past and now seems to hang around with some, but...know it wasn't her
phobia, it was a fear coming from personal experience she had to fight with through the years.
It's like my fight with anxieties and fear for the future, feeling helpless- same Wei, who felt helpless having not
enough knowledge about how to deal with ghost types in wild.

At first she felt uneasy and nervous when Fiona as Honedge was around, now you see she even lets her be really close,
almost like a backpack :D (Doublade still needs to drain some life energy)

PS: goddamnit of course it looked much better in my head. Messed up perspective on Dhelmise completely,
I couldn't fix it :x

I wonder if it would be slippery/hard to ride a Dhelmise... But this is looking good so far! This has the potential to show Dhelmise in a very unique way. :D
